A Mandolin for Your Pocket, At Last...

From courtly love to bluegrass to folk escapades, mandolin has been one of the most mysterious and personal instruments in history. We now bring you the first ever adaptation of mandolin for your iPhone and iPod Touch, using every inch of our expertise in musical app design. With its carefully designed set of features, extremely intuitive user interface, and fine-tuned, zero-latency response, Mandolin has something for everyone.

Three Unique Tones

Mandolin comes with three different sounds, enabling you to choose among a traditional tone reminiscent of the f-style, a rounder, gentler tone of a traditional a-style, or an electric mandolin.

Zero Latency

Mandolin is conceived from the start as a musical app with an excellent response. Accordingly, we have written input and generation algorithms that work quikcly, cleanly and with precision. Hence, Mandolin boasts zero operation latency, a feat rare among musical apps.

Picking and Strumming

We developed custom touch interpretation algorithms for Mandolin. Under "Basic Settings," Mandolin offers you an option to choose among three different touch modes for picking and strumming, and also includes a "sensitivity" adjuster for certain modes. By operating in the appropriate mode, you can trem-pick, strum or tap to play.

Tunability

The tunings component allows you to tune each of the eight strings individually to obtain cross- or harmonic-tunings, and to experiment. Mandolin also offers a "course drift" adjuster to specify the frequency delta between the strings on a course. Built in are 10 different mandolin tunings.

Scrolling and Dimensions

Mandolin incorporates an extremely easy-to-use fretboard scrolling feature: just hold down the scroll button and scroll the fretboard with another finger. Additionally, fret-width, string-spacing and pluck-area width are all individually adjustable to give the best fit.

More Features

We packaged Mandolin with our reknowned reverb module, and added options for left-handed playing and screen orientation as well. We also provide an option to "capo" Mandolin at the lowest partially-visible fret.
